My buddys sho ran a 10.8 1/4. No kidding. Over 500whp. Tuned by keiths pitstop in gettysburg pa. No meth. Stock turbos. Simple upgrades. Some wiring mods to cpu.

Soooo being as I am an enthusiast for this platform, and would love to find a shop that has figured out a way to get around some of the issues we are seeing with fueling, smaller turbos, TC's, etc etc... I gave the above mention shop a call...

The answer I received is they have not had an ECOBOOST SHO come through the shop for anything more than a DYNO PULL. The gentleman I talked to also said the only SHO's he can remember the shop actually working on was some Gen1's and Gen2's but that was for dirt track racing.

Not saying your buddy didn't run a 10.8 (HIGHYL DOUBT IT) but Keiths did not tune or build it.

Ha! I'm glad you called him out.

All this ranting from a newer member makes all of what he has to say highly suspicious.

Run the car in fwd and put up your track number. With your car, probably a new world record. Wider front tires. I ran my sho around fwd. it was alot quicker and faster. Less to spin. A gtr running in fwd only has the record at maple grove for full stock

You can add a switch to launch in normal awd then flip switch to disable rear in the trans. Gauge on my 15 said, awd failure fwd mode or something like that. It disables the rear when it notices to hot of temp. Just put a switch on it to think its too hot. All we did. Normal tires. It lit them up through 3rd gear with my tune.

Interesting.

Worth a consideration perhaps.

I aint kiddin. Im not a kid with something to prove to internetworld. Im a man with a normal boring job and boring life. When you launch in awd and then get going and flip to fwd it litterally pulls harder then it just launched in awd. Not kidding. Im just not sure how my buddy did it, electronics is too much for my brain. One of the writeups im working on

There is a fuse you can throw a switch onto that kills the AWD system and makes it FWD only. And it will light up the dashboard with all kinds of errors.

I’m surprised the trans and accompanying parts like shafts, torque converter, etc held up to that kind of abuse....

Would love to see the video....

I think the trans and accompanying parts would be okay. They have already handled the hardest part which is the launch....

What abuse? Normal operation. A tuned car is more abuse on it. My sho shifted soo dang hard between gears i thought the dang thing broke. And your worried about abuse from putting a switch to the tranny controller

I said before i did it. Only real outcome is I BLEW MY ENGINE. But i cant really pinpoint what caused it. I had by tranny checked out and they said its like new. Ptu took apart, added a cooler. No shavings at all. Fluid was old but still from be driving like a nut and my expierements haha

You said it in your other post. You are just disabling the magnetic clutch pack in the rear correct? I know on the Focus RS you can toggle between AWD and FWD.

Like i said in a thread before. It was in the fuse panel but im not sure which fuse it was but we did it just to see what would happen. We are both engineers and love to buy new things and tear them apart and figure out how to make them do what we want them to do. I disabled advancetrac also, no need a pp model. Just need a wire and 2 minutes. Also disabled the park rev limiter but i never reved it high and put it back on a few minutes later

It has to be the clutch packs in the RDU. You are just blocking the signal for lock up. The PTU is directly driven through the trans via the driver side axle. The PTU is always in motion.

If you can gain the 15 ish percent back while in motion......my 391 to the tires would be an additional 58 ish hp directly to the front tires.....so roughly 449 to the tire after the launch. She would scoot just like you said.

The pp model could never fully disable esc but i did and man i tell ya. Its 4wd slidding on demand. 70 on the highway. Paddle down the 3rd. Slide over a lane. Light up all 4 at a redlight. Tons of fun. My car still has it disabled. Id never put it back on. How can you have a fun car with assists that you cant fully turn off

I never really knew where the lock up was. I figured it to be in the trans like on some other awd cars. Still more free to spin because it dosnt have the weight of the rear tires on the earth to spin and just a free driveshaft. May hurt rear diff fluid but i never looked into it that closely. I may in spring time
