I just got home from work and there is a postal delivery notice for me to pickup a package at the Post Office..... And I'm betting that it's from Livernois!!!! Gonna hop in my SHO right now and pick it up! :) the weather is perfect here now too! It was -30 2 weeks ago but now it's +8 and sloppy from all of the melting snow. It's still dry enough for some speed though! I'm as excited as a kid at Christmas right now! Rick, hopefully I'll be emailing you soon! :dribble: oboy, oboy oboy!!!!!!

Alright!!!!!! I ordered mine too on the 19th and I've tracked it to Mississauga so should be here tomorrow.
No car yet but I'll have the device.

Let us know how the download goes and the subsequent load of the tunes.

You going to run 2 or 3?

Cheers,
Colin

Did you flash the truck back to stock? If so, you can use the programmer on the SHO.

Power up the device by plugging in to either a vehicle's OBDII port or a computer's USB port. (usb cable not included)

Once powered up, scroll all the way down to device info.

Press Select on Device Info.

Status will either be: Status: Locked or Status: Unlocked.

*This is the breakdown of what each one means:*

Status: Locked - The vehicle is VIN locked, you need to either return the vehicle it is currently locked to back to stock, or you will need to call Tech Support and Get a Return Authorization and pay an Unlocking Fee.

Status: Unlocked - Your tuner is not locked, go tune.

Well, I got the tuner (thanks Rick!) and wanted to get started by getting the strategy code so I plugged in the tuner with my car off (should've probably read the instructions first) and started to mess around with the device. I figured out where to go in the menu to get the strategy code but for some reason I seem to be doing something wrong. The SCT device says to the turn the power on without starting the engine so since I have the keyless start all I did was press the button without my foot on the brake. This seems to accomplish nothing because the device won't "recognize" my car?
I feel like an idiot for asking but does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Should I have "setup" the tuner on my computer first with the enclosed USB cord or am I just not "turning the car on" properly?

Since the SHO doesn't have a key, it makes things a little tricky. You can read the strategy code with the car running.

What we normally do to upload the tune is start the car, shut it off, then hold the start button without applying the brake so all the lights on the dash light up. At this point, it is in accessory mode and you can upload the files.

Press the button once with no brake for accessory.

Hold the button for 3 seconds for ON. no brake.

Press button and brake to start.

Great. Thx Rick. I'll get you the strategy code tomorrow since it's getting late here and the gf wants me to stop "messing with your car and get some other things done dammit!"

Can't wait for tomorrow now! :)

Hey Rick,
Quick question in regarding a tuner also. So you guys can add to an SCT Xcal3 tuner that I have laying around that is unlocked and get the same performance features you guys offer that you sell from your shop too?

Yes, that is correct. If you have an X3 device, we can sell you our all of our tune files for $250.00.

Thank you,

Rick
