Great decision Zeus! I can't even begin to tell you how much better the car is since the tune. You will be amazed and love it. Those Livernois guys have done a great job!

Well it was the feedback from you guys that made me want it so thanks for posting your experiences here! I really can't wait :)

+1....Sounds like they've really done their homework.:)

C.

Money well spent, you will love it and wonder why Ford didn't send the car from the factory this way. Sucks though that your in Edmonton with the snow. Think positive, summer will be there in 6-7 more months. ;)

Yeah thanks for that. Lol I'm used to Edmonton weather and have come to love the 2 weeks of summer that we get every year although we forget that spring and autumn driving is pretty good as well. Just because we get 7 months of winter here, it doesn't mean that I still can't enjoy the other 3 seasons in the remaining 5 months of the year ;)

lol, and gone again in 8-9.:p
You've got the right idea, Red: south for the winter.:)

Enjoy the tune, Zeus, as much as you can. At least you've got the SHO to install one into.......Mine still hasn't come yet.

On a less jovial note: at least you'll net a couple kpl with a tune. Sounds like it's good for a little extra kilometerage.;)

Let us know how the install goes.

C. (also stuck in the midst of winter)

I'll keep an eye on the fuel economy.... Currently I'm only getting about 14 kpl (I believe that's about 17-18 mpg) but I do drive it like it's stolen :) Hopefully the tune will be good for my fuel economy but I would be lying if I said that was the reason I was getting it  How much longer until your car arrives? It's torture waiting for it isn't it? Hope it shows up soon!

When is it supposed to arrive?

-Rick
Hey Rick and Andrew, It was ordered Dec. 20 and they guestimated 6 weeks. So a couple weeks yet.
Can't come soon enough.
I've got some Sylvania Silverstar Ultras and an AirRaid intake waiting for it.
Soon after will be the tune from you once I get 'acclimated'.

I hope they don't drag butt on yours like they did ours, it took 11 weeks here. But it was well worth the wait. Wife droped the Camry like a hot potato.

Wish I had my car I'd order one too........:fit:

If you order now, you will have the tuner when the car arrives and send the code to Rick, and that way you can tune it when you want to because you will have everything you need instead of waiting on the tuner after you are ready.

I'm considering that, mj, just to get some of the steps out of the way.

I think that would be the way to go, that way after you drive a bit, you would have everything you need to install the tune when you feel ready for it...it's nice knowing that I can go to the Stage 3 or 4 any time if I get in the mood. Besides, once you get the strategy code out of your car, I'm sure Rick will have the tunes in you hands within a few hours. Can you tell, I'm really impressed with Livernois and their people?

I've dropped Rick a pm about it and hope to talk to him today. I do want to drive the car for a bit without any mods but sure am lookin' forward to the AirRaid and LM tune.
Is there really that much diff between stage 2 and stages 3 & 4? Would it be that ******* the tranny to leave it stage 3?

You're as impressed as I am with LM and yes Rick is a great rep. He's helped me with so many questions and been very patient.

As I understand Stage 2 and Stage 3 are identical as far as engine changes go. The Stage 3 tune does not have torque reduction during transmission shifts and Stage 2 has torque reduction for smoother shifts. A lot of people are running Stage 3 tune daily and Rick says that no one has reported any transmission issues using Stage 3 on their daily driver SHOs.

Yeah, that's the way I understand it. I prefer a firmer shift and like to feel it, so I'll probably go with #3 provided it's not too harsh.
Have you tried #4 and what is the diff with it and is the power the same with lower tq management?

Hey MJ. just spoke to Rick at LM and ordered the tune. So it's on its way.
All I need now is the car to get the appropriate numbers and away I go.
I'll probably switch between #2 & #3 also depending on weather and season.

Was great to chat with Rick who was very helpful as usual.

Has anyone here used the Hennessey tune? They sell a complete package of Corsa exhaust, a CAI, and tune for $3495. Obviously that's much more than the Livernois tune, but Hennessey has a rep and is willing to quote horsepower figures.

We also sell a complete package for anyone interested for around $2,200.00 + shipping. This would include the Corsa exhaust, Airaid CAI, and an SCT X3 device with our custom tune files.

I've posted dyno sheets and video along with track videos.
