We also sell a complete package for anyone interested for around $2,200.00 + shipping. This would include the Corsa exhaust, Airaid CAI, and an SCT X3 device with our custom tune files.

I've posted dyno sheets and video along with track videos.

How about a Corsa exhaust for the Flex EB?

Ben,

I spoke to Paul at Corsa and he said they looked at a Flex to see if the exhaust was similar to the SHO, but quickly determined it wasn't and decided not to pursue a Flex system.

If they offered one, we would have it on our Flex. We run their products on all of our shop vehicles.

Thank you,

Rick

Good to know, Rick...given the testimonials here, I imagine it's the route I'll take.

But you really, really, really need to update your web site, which doesn't mention the package you describe and still shows each tune as a separate part number.

(BTW, you still owe me a windshield sticker...)

Hey Rick, It was ordered Dec. 20 and they guestimated 6 weeks. So a couple weeks yet.
Can't come soon enough.
I've got some Sylvania Silverstar Ultras and an AirRaid intake waiting for it.
Soon after will be the tune from you once I get 'acclimated'.

C.

If u give me your vin number, I can tell u if we hav even started on it

I hope they don't drag butt on yours like they did ours, it took 11 weeks here. But it was well worth the wait. Wife droped the Camry like a hot potato.

Lol. We have 2 shifts working 11hrs each, 6 days a week. Were goin as fast as we can. But if I'm correct, were building 70 percent Explorer's rite now. We only build like 3 SHO's an hr. Thank your wife for gettin rid of the Camry for me.

The exhaust on the Flex is the same for about the first 4 feet after the flanges. Because the Flex has a 5" longer wheelbase and a shorter tail, the rest is similar, but modified for the differences. The solution to the Flex exhaust dilemma is to add Magnaflow mufflers in back and to replace the 3rd cat and the resonator with an x-pipe.

NESHO is in the process of making a template (jig) to easily manufacture the section including an x-pipe back about 44" from the flanges behind the main cats. It will be completed shortly. I asked for a second set of flanges behind the stock resonator, so I could swap out the stock section for the modded x-pipe, and then put it back if noise was an issue on long trips etc. I currently have Magnaflows on the back (have had for 10 mo and 16+K) and the sound is about like a V-6 Mustang... Just loud enough you know there is an engine in the car.... MUCH quieter than the Magnaflow street system on my G8 GT.

But.... Not expecting any real HP improvements. From what I have heard, our exhaust restrictions are just after the Turbos, including the piping around the 2 main cats.

Mostly would like a bit more rumble! Will have a local muffler shop install.

I paid a bit over $300. for the rear satin stainless Magnaflow mufflers installed with stock tips. The NESHO x-pipe mid section should cost between $300 & $400. installed. Since he is building this primarily for SHO's, many of you may be interested!:thankyou:

We're in the process of building a new site now. I know the old site is difficult to navigate and doesn't have near the amount of product we would like.

I believe I spoke to you via email regardng the windshield banner. If so, I sent a note to he guys in shipping to send you one. Please send mea pm or email in the morning to remind me and I'll look into it.

Thank you,

Rick

I hope I didn't offend you, I personally could have waited longer for such a fine ride. I told her thanks for you, she laughed. I wouldn't have anything but a Ford, just raised that way I guess.

72 total thus far spread across those lines huh Rick?

F'n nice man. I'd like to think I was in that earlier group of SHO owners to have utilized your company's tune(s).

Also, I need a lil Livernois history lesson. Why? Well people have been asking me about my decals and inquiring about your company.

Specifically they say "WTF is LIVER----nois? Is it a liver company? Seriously WTH is that.....?"

Keep up the great work my friend.

Mike,

You were one of the earlier customers and we appreciate all of the kind words that our customers post regarding our tunes.

Darreli was our first SHO customer and his car was originlly tuned on the street with a wideband. We had a SHO on order at the time, but hadn't seen any before his. He was nice enough to let us develop our first tune using his car. We then called him when we had any updates and again he would experiment and provide us with feeback after driving and racing the car.

After our car arrived, we installed an AWD dyno which proved to help greatly and allow us to further develop our custom tunes.

Our roots in the automotive world stretches back over 65 years. Back then our Company (or parent company) was known as Livernois Engineering. We were always deeply tied with the OEM companies as we did numerous testing, and design aspects for them. We even created the first aluminum radiator for automotive usage and the tooling and machines to produce them. Over time the company continued to grow, and venture into new facets of the automotive industry. Eventually the heat exchange division was sold to a large well known heating and cooling company, and the company was passed on to the children of the company founder. The current owner, Norma Wallis then bought out her siblings to take full ownership and started several other companies under the Livernois name. One of these companies, Livernois Vehicle Development was in charge of many different projects for the OEM's. From crash testing, to diesel system integration, alternative fuels, and more... they did it all. Livernois Motorsports, as with many performance companies, started as a hobby business that was spun off of LVD.

Livernois Motorsports is owned by Norma's sons Dan and Tom Millen. Today we are a supplier to GM, Ford, and Chrysler through the OEM level and the performance parts business.

We are extremely unique in the industry as we have over 15 install bays and hoists, 2 chassis dynos (including one of Michigan's only AWD and portable dyno's) and an in-house engine dyno. All development and machining is done in house. We have multiple CNC machines, cylinder head flow benches, a full service machine shop, and fab shop all housed within our 36,000 sq. ft. facility. We also have paint and body housed in its own stand alone building.

All of our tuning is done exclusively by Dan Millen, multi-time national champion in numerous racing classes. So, to put it lightly the tuning and driving characteristics are handled by someone who has the most vested interest possible so quality is of the utmost importance.

The following video link will give you a quick overview of Livernois Motorsports and our capabilities -

Thank you,

Rick

Rick, any connection between Stillen and Livernois? -- I see the Millen name.

Thanks for the company history. Nice to see that LMS works closely with Ford.

Colin.

Cool stuff Rick......love that Escalade. -- Bond would be proud., and that SWAT team would be enough to shake you up should they come a-knockin'....:)
That military vehicle would be handy -- we've got some bad tailgaters around here that really **** one off.

I can well see why Ford has such a close relationship with you guys.....Kudos

EBB when did you speak with Kirk? Seems like he's kind of fallen off of the map since last summer.

Hope he's doing well.

I guess I just kinda wish he'd be more active for the newer models. Oh well.

#1. NESHO - Kirk (alive and well!)

I pm'd him several times. Finally got a response and then took a bunch of underside pix of EB Flex for him.

That is where we came to the conclusion that the exhausts are similar, and the same to just behind the resonator.

Actually phoned him about a week ago at his request. He seems to have other projects going on... but also wants to get back on the new SHO bandwagon. Will be getting the center x-pipe section for my Brick whenever it gets made.

As I have catsback systems (Magnaflow street system - 09' & custom setup w/ h-pipe & Magnaflows - 08')on my G8's, I would have bought one for my Flex, had they been available. Going at it piecemeal. Hoping for some extra horsies, but not expecting anything except "Noise Fluff"!

Lucky to have an understanding wife... whose hearing is fine.. but would rather listen to a loud engine/exhaust, than loud music!

#2..... Rick ....

Loved your history of Livernois. Happened to see the clip that was done by a Detroit TV station a year or 2 ago. The performance division is only a small portion of all the things you do... Speaks well of your automotive reputation! Hope to show up for a tour (of what is open to the public) some day.....

#3. Ain't this SHO board getting fun!!!!!!!

Great group of poster friends.....:thankyou::thankyou:

The has 4 has more boost and more timing than the others, and no torque management. Our tuner Dan said he would recommend higher octane with the stage 4, however Darreli and several others are running it daily with 93 octane and no issues.

Thank you,

Rick
