I ran Amazon basics oil until I bent a rod. Unless you've got a full dick set up and are looking for a miniscule possibility of it lasting longer then sure shelling out is fine. Everything now a days is so close if you're changing it out in a decent mileage then it shouldn't matter

My 305k mile 2.0 ecoboost escape has had literally whatever was the cheapest I could find and is still kicking no issues. 6k-10k mile changes at that.

Now a days you're extremely hard pressed to even find full conventional as 99% of the oils sold on the shelf are synthetic blend. The only full conventional I could find was o reilly's in house brand in my area so I can break in my sho motor.

I see the point that oil meeting the manufacturer's recommendation that gets changed out to the manufacturer's requirement does the job. Until I got my SHO, I ran full synthetic in my turbo Subarus, mostly Castrol and Mobil. They seemed to do well. In my SHO, I am running full synthetic of any brand, but am in the habit of going to the dealer, so it's their choice for that, and I believe they use a blend.

Kirkland, full synthetic API SP, 5W30 (made by Warren Oil). Ten quarts total in two bottles, $24-ish (a truly amazing price for product I get at the Costco warehouse or delivered to my home - I use this in the five vehicles I regularly maintain). I change every 5000 miles after having had one cam-phasing glitch a few years ago the technician suspiciously blamed on a constricted oil port.

last change i did was mobil 1 5-30 & fl500 as long as it's a SN+ spec you're good - secret is do frequent changes - will preserve the chains and guides - weak link in the 3.5 L go 3 k miles tops -

That is exactly how I do it.

5w-30 Amsoil 100% synthetic. Full is only 25%. Ford 500S filter for mobetta wet starts. Fumoto 90 degree angle oil drain valve.

I used to use Castrol all the time and family swears by it too! But that's for N/A vehicles, never had it in my SHO.

Using Valvoline full synthetic Modern Engine in the 2015 SHO. I have used Valvoline high mileage synthetic blend in my 2003 daily driven Focus with 197000 miles.

5w-30 is best. I like Mobil 1 and after 87,000 trouble free miles, I guess it does well.
ADD A CATCH-CAN, or crankcase deposits will end up on your valves no matter what oil you use.
