half-way there, I think.
The Plus that I just bought has some really bad looking clear coat, no amount of polishing is going to help.

Although with little wet sanding and then some polishing it might be the trick to atleast make it look better. I decided to see what kind of results I could get on the drivers side of the hood (closest to the fender)

Unfortunately the paint is so thin that I now have some variation in color, but I'm very happy with the overall result. Gotta finish the rest of the hood and then car. It's difficult to tell from the first picture, but clear coat looked just as bad as the passengers side that is untouched when I started.

Forgot to say that this car will not have a bunch of money thrown at it. I'm just going to do the stuff it needs. If I can make it look atleast somewhat good with a little elbow grease, why not.

What grit of sandpaper and type of Polish did you use. My Spoiler is the ONLY part on car with clearcoat problem and if I can just use your technique I will be able to save money and spend MORE on suspension and engine.

Thanks

I started with 800 grit to knock off the really bad crap and then went to 1500 and followed that with 2000 grit. For polish I'm using meguairs fine cut with an orbital buffer.
