This is crazy! Last month I got one of the hoses replaced, it was a real ***** to get to, its kinda down below the throttle body attached to the engine block, about 2.5" in diameter and maybe about 3" long, 2 weeks later my less than a year old radiator is busted, so I replace that, 4 days later radiator upper hose went out on me, but thats ok... it was an easy one, a week later throttle body coolant bypass hose goes out on me, and tonight my coolant started pouring out from some hose by the firewall!!! I couldnt even see where its coming from but it was smoking BAD! Dont you all think its crazy? When you have so many problems of the same nature happening simultaneously it just makes you wanna get rid of your car!

that is some crazy luck..did they accidently give you sulfuric acid or something in the last few bottles of antifreeze you bought?!

sounds like one of the hoses that goes to the heater core..

i had one blow in the dead of winter..spilled coolant all over my tranny and made a nice amount of steam...

OK it was the hose that attached to the J shaped pipe behind the engine. I already took it out, about to run to autozone to get a new one...

Congradulations!! Now, this is a taste of what I get every day at my job (GM service advisor). Customers think because we repaired one leak on their vehicle that it should NEVER leak again, any leak there after was caused by us (sabotogee, to quote Bugs Bunny) or that we should have used our crystal ball to forsee future leaks. However, if we do dare suggest additional leak repairs we are thieves. Anyway, have fun!

We need a lemon law that covers leaking problems! You should come and work with me at nissan dealer, our service advisors suck! If you bring the car in for the oil change they'll ask you to make an appointment for some time next week, even when its not busy. When the MAF sensor went out on my 00 catera sport, they wanted me to do the same, I said **** no I have less than 70 miles of warranty left, so here's my keys. 4 hours later its done. But sometimes you make an appointment bring the car in, and mother ****** went to lunch and he's gone for 2 hours. Now thats fine with me, I'll leave my car sitting in the service drive, and wait till he comes back cause I work there, but if I was just another customer I wouldnt have time to wait.
BTW I fixed the leak, but broke the piece that changes gears attached to the trannsmission cable, so now my car moves only in reverse :bonk: 5 leaks in a month is bad luck though you gotta agree.

I do agree w/you. Leaks are MF to fix sometimes. On a side note, are your service advisors paid on commision? If so they must be starving to death. I on the other hand hafe 5 kids and a wife in medical school (CU). I can't afford to tell people a few weeks to repair. Bring it in today and I'll see what I can do. Anyway, later.

Ofcourse they get paid on commission. We have only one used car service advisor and 3 for nissans only. There's only one I like and I wish he was a used car service writer. Thats the right attitude, atleast try to pretend that you are trying to help your customers. BTW why is it replacing all my words with dots?

"VAL". pretty typical - coolant problems. Once the system ages, and you replace a "weak" link, the next link will fail. It probably relates to system cooling pressures. As you fixed each leak, the system pressure will slightly increase. small increases in pressure will lead to the next weak link. I have gotton around this by replacing every hose I could at one time (then of course the radiator let loose on me). Once you get all hoses in shape you won't have problems again for along time....
