Does anyone know where I can get a pair of these for my SHO? I love the slammed look of the car, and Ive got a picture, but I like the slammed look for sure. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a pair or how much they cost? I just think the intrax springs wouldnt make that much of a difference...anyways heres the picture (i dont like the rims)

half-way there, I think.
Hmm... Your post is a little confusing. You're looking for just a pair of them?? Fronts or Rears... You do realize that Koni's are struts inserts and Intrax are springs, right?

If you are going to have a car that low you might as well not use struts at all and just replace the dampers with solid metal rods. The ride will be the same.

Im prettty sure that SHO is on coilovers, I could be wrong though. Konis will do nothing for lowering but Inrax will. You will not be able to get that low unless you cut springs or get coilovers. I know GroundConrol seels coilovers for the SHO.

Since when has Ground Control sold a set of coilovers for the SHO?

That would be awsome if it offered a tolerable ride quality with a decent price tag.

I don't know if they seel them or not, but I know they sell them :D You need to call them and ask cause it's not listed on their site. It has been mentioned that they use the stock spring perch, which isn't strong enough for the smaller diameter spring.

I called GC last year and they said they don't sell those anymore. They didn't give a reason, but I haven't heard of anyone that has been able to get one.

Maybe if I went up there in person (they're about 10 minutes from my work) I could convince them otherwise, but if it requires custom machining and they're not getting the quantity they want, they won't do it ...

well for $419 and GC quality i might be interested. a friend of mine had a 98 turbo civic with GC coilovers and that car felt like it was on rails.

what kind of struts or other modifications would you use with these?

That car was on IPT coilovers I belive. I considered my car like that, but as a daily diver, it would be bone-shaking. So I got intrax springs and cut one coil off. Harsh, but driveable....

The Intrax will make a MAJOR difference. My partner just lowered his car with Eibachs on Monroe SensaTracs, and the handling was exquisite. We rode from Atl to Queens, NY and the ride was perfect MOST of the way...there were a few bridge joints and the Cross Island Expressway (it bent a rim by the way) that was pretty brutal.

BY THE WAY...he's got a white/half and half black interior with those exact same RS Limited Trama wheels...and they look good to me. Kinda like a tricked out cop car :)

Listen to what Terry said and stay away. He's talking about a safety issue. The spring perch is what holds the spring up, if it fails you'll have contact with the tire, the strut piston would probably break and you'd more than likely get into an accident. Would that be worth the extra inch you could slam your sho?

Those are Team Dynamics Motorsports. wink
