Have to get another 1/2 quart of tranny fluid in it, but I got her warmed up a bit, and opened up, hopefully the sensors learned theres a new block and some fresh heads under the hood. My ABS light came on after 5 minuites of driving, maybe it figured out there are bubbles in the system? Initially it was fine, no abs light at all, the 97 sensors swapped in just fine. Gotta get someone with the ABS tool to bleed em out around here. Midas maybe? I want synthetic fluid, so I dont know how much of a problem that will be. But other than that, with that alternator bearing on is way out, it sure does sound like I have a little blower in there. :naughty: :thumb: First 50 miles down.. many more to come...

I live on a short street, sorry.. :) I'll get the other 1/2 of the RPM band posted up soon enough, would like to wait on that MTX fluid. :thumb:

by 0 mile block does that mean the rotating assembly too. you mentioned running full synthetic. i know that during break in you need to use dyno juice just regular plain oil to get everything broken in. can someone correct me if i'm wrong. you car sounds nice by the way and looks better :thumb: .

Yea, the entire rotating assembly is new, never had a mile on it. Synthetic I was reffering to the brake fluid. I will run synthetic in the motor, but for now, I have good old 5w-30 Valvoline. ALready changed it once, after the first two times I let it heat up.

And yea, I'm suprised at the sound for a stock resonator, and some mufflers that are leaking a bit. Just feels great tho driving it, haven't sat in that seat for a few years.. :)

Edit: Oh yea.. it looks good because I waited until it was late, got it wet, then snapped a few pics hiding the faded hood with the building's shadow. :) So yea, I cheated..lol

:) Well if being nice and warm is a problem, then yes. :) I'll get a close up for ya of how it sits on there. I havent seen a drop of oil, but did notice it loose once, could be because I dont want to tighten the living crap out of it, or could have been from my meticilious inspection of the oil splashin on that front exhaust cam. :) But yea, it sure is warm compared to that plastic!!

as long as it doesn't leak I want one it looks awesome :thumb: All you did was cut the threads down a little to make it sit all the way down?

I havent cut it yet, but still would like to so it will seal right. The trick is going to be cutting it perfect so that ford emblem lines up. My luck it'll be upside down. That Ford Racing thing is a heavy plastic with some 3M sticky stuff on it, so It's on there pretty good. :) shoulda waited til I cut it. :)

I'm just glad I got another 50 miles on it. Tried the ABS on a dirt road, seems 2 were working and 2 werent. I have an ABS ring that is missing 2 teeth, and Havent replaced it yet, so I'm wondering if those wheels are the ones locking? Ass end of the car wanted to walk to the right, and the front left (with the broken ring) were locking up. But.... the ABS light never came on, until I hit pavement, then it came on, and I was back to the spongy pedal. 5 miles from home at a stop sign the spongyness was about 1/2 of what it was, and the pedal has a lot less travel before I feel resistance maybe 1/2" so maybe it did bubble outta there? I dont know. Nothing leaks tho, but I tell ya, I got a lotta looks.. one from a city cop and I was doin 35.. I'm tellin you they dont like my tint at all. And I think some people around here must know what they are, but my new found compression and help from the Jesus gear has already kept one Z28 in its place... behind my bumper. Damn I missed this car. :thumb: :salute: :3gears:

lol yea, I really am kind of undecided on how to do it. It's aluminum, and will cut easy, I was almost thinking of using a big chop saw with a metal cutoff wheel blade. Can't think of any small tools that would cut it straight. :) Plus it'll cut that thing in a second. :)
