Issue while driving

I have a 1993 MTX i recently replaced the CCRM and the DIS..

While i'm driving the tach drops to 0 and the idle surges..turn the car off and she wont start again for atleast another 10minutes.

I've been told it's the crank sensor but i just wanna see what you guys have to say..

Could i have recived a bad DIS or CCRM?

Looks like a bad cam sensor to me.

x2 sounds like the cam sensor.

Pull the codes to know for sure!

I'm having this issue with my ATX. Changed the sensor this morning, so we'll see.

It fixed my starting issue, but I'm still having idle surges. It will also die when I come to a light. I cleaned out the IAC, and that didn't help, so replacing is next on the board.

probably need to replace the IAC..

Turned out to be a cracked hard line on the fuel pump assembly "hat." Air in the fuel line. That's a hard one to diagnose!
