Issue when cranking

When i go to crank it over after a few days it will take maybe 5-8 seconds then go bang out the exhaust pipe. Then i go to crank it again and it will take another 5-8 seconds and then it usually starts and acts a little missy for a few seconds. No codes. Reverted it to stock maf sensor and stock ecm and it still did it. But it will fire right up fine the rest of the day. Just when it sits for a couple days.
I did empty the tank out when i got it and put fresh 93 octane in and way too much techron concentrate in it (about 3 bottles, that stuff is amazing). Has a quarter tank now.
Is it a crank or cam sensor starting to go? Or should i just give it a few tanks and see?

Possibly leaking injectors putting to much fuel into the engine causing a backfire?
Check fuel pressure.

Nice. Sho shop. You built the engine and did all the mods lol. Back in the day
I have the documents, awhile back. Over 10k$ in work.

That's alot of Techron for a single Taurus tank of gas. I love that stuff. It got my f150 fuel float to read correctly again!

Can you run it successfully for a while? I would run some good 93 through it for a good many miles. Leaky injector is not a bad 1st guess. That sounds like fuel getting somewhere and then popping off.
Also with that much techron I'd change the oil.

Yea once i start driving it in spring it will probably get better. No issues anywhere. Just when it sits for a few days. Probably lots of crap left in tank as i ran the fuel filter line dry when i emptyed out tank. Just disconnected it and ran pump from the trunk cutoff thing jumped from the trunk light lol. Yea i put royal purple in it and will flush it out again in spring. Just to clean engine out a little better.
Yea mt best friend is an electronics engineer and redneck so jumping the fuel pump wiring from in the trunk to the mercury light when the trunk is open will run the pump, enough to empty it out from under the car. But we did that in spring and only had 1 tank in it since

Yeah I woulkdn't want that stuff all over my bearings and whatnot. It cleans maybe too good!

Yea my plans is to flush the oil again before i drive it. I dont have it plated yet but it was approved for antique tags.

Well antique in Pa is 25 years or older. No inspection or emissions then. Just a plate. Maintain the car yourself. Would be my 4th antique with my newest being 94 and oldest being 76 and the other 2 being '90 then once i plate this one

That figures. PA always has weird rules not in line with other states. Can you buy beer at the corner store yet?
