Welcome in. Where in Arizona are you? There are members scattered around parts of the state.

Step one is to take care of the maintenance, especially if you don't know what the previous owner has or has not done. At 120K the engine is likely due a full upper and front 60k.

With proper maintenance the engine will last a long time. Mine has over 200K and there are some with over 400K.

Come down to the Pavillions car show! I won't make one til the 26th, but hopefully my white 94 will be running, if not I'll see if I can convince my friend to bring the Mocha 91 he just bought.

Side note: Is it just me or are there more and more AZ SHO owners than there were a year ago?

I'm currently in Tucson without my SHO, I'm a student at U of A, otherwise I might be able to help. All of the info for the 60k service I got on shophoenixproject.com but it looks like there is nothing there at the moment..... There was a thread about it being gone a couple of days ago.

Could someone chime in on that maybe if the site is coming back soon?

As for the timing belt, if that's what you are doing, the belt should have labeled arrows that point towards the motor. The belt also should have three white lines along the outside, which line up with the markings on the cogs, which in turn line up with a raised part on the inner timing belt cover.

I don't have any pictures, but you should find enough info on the forum if you search. Or look under "Gen1&2 Maintenance Guides and How To's" :thumb:

Welcome, I spotted a red Gen 2 under the Indian School overpass at Grand Avenue, right by Baby Dolls, yesterday or the day before.

If the Astro is a panel van and you want to sell it, I know a guy looking for one right now.

Welcome to the club.
