Lots of frustraition here! My '97 SHO has been stalling intermittently. It is totally random -day, night, hot, cool, full throttle, idle, just random. It will either stall or act like it's not getting fuel or spark in and out. After it stalls, I have to crank it 5-10 times to restart. Other than that, it runs fine. Factory PCM programming.

Here is what I have looked at:
-TPS: good voltage curve.
-MAF: good voltage/flow rate readings, good baro and load.
-Engine: no vacuum leaks, good compression and leakdown.
-Fuel pressure: 35-40 psi idle-load.
-All temp signals: OK
-Fuel trims: OK
-IAC: OK
-CKP/CMP: good signal.
-EGR/DPFE: OK
-O2s11/21: good crosscounts -OL.
-No misfires, faults. No codes.

Is there something I am over looking or something else I should be looking at? Any help is much appreciated. This is driving me nuts!:nut:

My guess would be a wire grounding out or maybe the CPS wiring. The CPS wiring gets very close to the belt if it gets loose from the attachment points.

That's what I thought too. I ran the car and gently pulled on the harness leading to the connector but it ran fine. I also cleaned the connector and sensor ends. I suppose it's possible that the sensor may me failing internally tho..

Today I will check fuel flow, FPR opreation, replace fuel filter and pull up some vital pids and shake the harness around a bit.

i know in the back of your mind your thinking it has something to do with that zex kit you just got. maybe something got knocked out of whack during installation. Just something to marinade on.

-Cracked crank sensor :) Just beneath the locating tab so I couldn't see it of feel it since it's bolted to the engine. I pulled it out after I determined the issue was not a lack of fuel. 18 bucks later and I'm back in business!

Yes, I did think that there was a direct relationship to the ZEX kit I bought since it started occuring just after the install. Hopefully, the ZEX kit won't cause any real issues tho.

All is well now--knock knock.
