it sounds like you have a bad plug wire or a coil. i am assuming it will only miss on two cylinders under load...i would check if it is missing one cylinder at idle

I don't know if the coil pack can intermittantly fail, but seeing on how that the coil pack fires to cylinders at once that might be worth something to check into, if you sure you are losing two cylinders at once.

Then your problem is either an intermittent connection between the coil pack and the DIS or the DIS itself is defective. We've had a few forum members with this fault over the last year and, as I recall, the DIS was the culprit in those cases.

What are the condition of your motor mounts and subframe bushings? Some members have found while accelerating that the motor moved enough to strain the DIS connector enough to cause a bad connection. Make sure that it's tight, and are any of the DIS connector retaining tabs broken?

Look on the passenger side of the intake manifold. There should be a grey colored module with two connectors going to it, and the letters DIS on the front.

P.S. Don't forget to read your codes, the answer might be sitting right there waiting for you to ask! There are links in my signature with easy DIY instructions! :)
