attempted first start on the SHO ranger last night and it backfired and blew the crossover tube out of the intake and had my ears ringing for a couple minutes haha.
I had used the firing order from the Chiltons manual, which has been pretty accurate on most things as it had SHO specific wiring diagrams that were accurate etc. it listed the coil pack cylinder numbering as SHO specific as well, but I’m thinking now that was incorrect. Even on the forum here I’ve seen two different firing orders in prior threads.

I don’t think it matters, but it’s a 1994 ATX ECU.
Thanks guys

Thanks bro. The Chilton manual must have it wrong. I’ll try to rearrange and fire it up tonight

Success! Well sorta, still completing some wiring and running it on ether since the fuel pump isn’t wired permanently yet, but it did fire with the above posted firing order on the coil pack! Only difference between that one and Chiltons was swapping numbers 5 and 6
