So my interior lights, and keyhole lights wont go off in my 93 atx. Ive checked the button switches and switched them out with some junkyard ones, and nothing seems to work. For now I have unplugged the plug towards the engine side of the keyless entry box. This sucks because my drivers side door doesnt like to open sometimes and I have to enter/exit from the passenger side and climb over to the drivers seat. Could the keyless entry box be malfunctioning? Also pictures would be helpful

Yes, replace the Keyless Entry Module - it controls the interior/courtesy lamp lighting and timing of the keyless entry functions.

To answer your first question (for reference), the keyless code is on the information placard on the module.

Are all the key-pads on the keyless entry keypad working?

There are four reasons that could cause your problem, that come to mind:

  • failure of the Keyless Entry module

  • stuck/bad keypad which is constantly sending an "actuation" signal to the module

  • bad door latch switch which is constantly sending an "actuation" signal to the module

  • an electrical short "somewhere" in the harness to the module which is resulting in an "actuation" signal to the module

So, it looks like you're down to the last two.
