Okay this is my write-up on replacing broken coil connectors. I went on eBay searched for replacement coil connectors you can get 6 of them for $70 or $14 a piece which is absolutely ridiculous. Here's my solution go to the junkyard cut off 6 good coil collectors from another Taurus make sure it's the 2 pin or 3 pin whichever yours is.
I will show you the way to reconnect them to your existing engine harnessed to replace the broken connectors without cutting, soldering or splicing wires together.

When you go to the junkyard make sure you grab all 6 connectors accidents do happen.

Tools you will need:
Needle-nose pliers, Regular pliers, something small pointy tool or a paperclip with the end sanded down to a point

This is what you should start with by separating the wires make sure to got the black tape off and it's clean. Not this time but when you're doing you're bad connectors

Strip down all the good connectors first that'll be good practice for you before you proceed to strip out the bad connectors in your car.

Then take the pliers grab the end on both sides of the black cap pull from side to side so that way it'll unclip and pull out.

Take the tool or your custom paper clip push it in on the left side slowly pull it out.

Then push it into the right side leave it in take the needle nose pliers grab it from the top and bottom and slowly with a side-to-side motion with a little force pulling out. It'll come out halfway then

Do it one more time and I'll come out all the way.
(You will follow the same steps for swapping out your bad connectors)

You can set the white and black piece to the side you will not be using them.

Now you will take your pick tool place it under the metal lead slightly pushed down the tab simultaneously pull the wire out a little then the other side.

Then the wires should slip out with the Garment.

You should end up with a clean non broken connector.
Well slightly dirty.

Repeat the these steps for your bad connectors. I did one at a time taking out my bad connectors. "Critical" make sure you get the wire in the right side there's a big wire and a small wire for the two pin connect remember which side small wire goes on your original connector. The black piece stay on the wires and after pulling off your bad connector you should have this.

((Note:: The direction of the raised tibbs on the metal pins they should be inserted in the new connector opposite of the Red Locking collector. The raised tibbs on the metal pins is what locks in to the connector.))

Insert the pins in the connector casing make sure the Tibbs on the metal pins are in the right location. From my picture the Tibbs would be facing up to lock into the connector.
IMG 0783

Push them through alittle and then back them out and they should be locked in. (Note: if they come out your Tibbs are not in a right location)

Now insert the end cap make sure you have the indent on that end cap on the same side as a red locking connectors side. Line up the connectors to the end cap channels

Then with your thumb push in and you should hear it click twice.

DONE ... Make sure you wrap it up with tape I use cloth tape much nicer than wire black tape then put a plastic wire tube and wrap it up with cloth tape again.
