Idle speed problems??

My SES light when on last week, so got the code checked out, was something like p1518, i cant remember exactly, but the little gizmo said something about Idle Speed control? or some such, i have no idea what that means really, i changed the IAC a couple months ago, and cant think of what could be the problem, the car is now idleing a little rough and the mileage has gone down a bit, And when i place it in park, the RPMs rev up over 1000....Suggestions plzz??

P1518 is the secondaries not closed. Probably the cable frayed inside the IRMC thing. If there is excessive slack at the butterfly actuators then that is indeed the problem.

Well i remember the tester thing saying idle speed something or another, i dont really remember the code, the 1518 seemed a lil familiar thats all, but if it is this IRMC, where is it what is it and is it difficult to fix? Thx for input
