idle problems

at times, my 93 mtx starts losing rpms when it is on idle.. it goes down to about 500 and then it revs again to about 2000 and drops back to 500 and the same thing happens again and again.. sometimes it completely cuts off..

the only way i can stop it is to gas it.. sometimes still i have noticed that the revs drop so much more quicker.. lately, its getting worse and worse..

i have had a couple of instances when it cut off while driving.. it always happened when i it wasnt on a gear..

i thought my fuel filter was blocked and replaced it with no effect..

Could possibly be a vacuum leak, try cleaning your iac to.

I run into that quite a bit.

9 times out of 10 its your Mass air flow sensor.

Have you check your codes?
