Hello all! So I'm done with my 3.2 swap and I have about 2000 miles on it. It drives great when it's cold out, but when I get into traffic and the engine starts to heat soak it gets sketchy. When I come to a stop, I push the clutch in and the engine drops to about 500 rpm, the oil light comes on and it bounces back to life. Any ideas? IAC?

My 3.0 used to do the same thing. Until I discovered that the VSS was unplugged

I have read that the dropping oil pressure could be a possible symptom of failing rod bearings.

Good Luck

What is the VSS? I just put new bearings in and the clearances were good, so I'm not really suspecting that.

Vehicle Speed Sensor. The computer uses it to tell when the car is moving. It's where the speedometer cable attaches to the transaxle.

I was thinking more along the lines of a vacuum leak. Yes, IAC does control the idle so it could be a culprit.

What does the vacuum line "B/d" do?(the one that connects to the firewall).
