Got a 94 ATX.

I've been trying to mess with my isc drive, idle and neutral settings on the Tweecer to get my idle and tuning right with my Tri-Flows. My main issue is that when I come to a stop there is a late 2-1 shift due to the raised idle (1k rpm). I've been trying to get it right just looking for some advise on the isc drive, idle and neutral functions?

if you're having shifting issues you need to look at your shift schedules in your tranny tables (2-1 shift table specifically).

Jason, it wasn't shifting like that before we put in the triflows.

don't raise the idle? The car sounds bad ass with a low idle on those cams. One solution is to increase the MPH for the 2-1 downshift. it is something like 7mph but if you come to a quick stop it will make the shift at 2-3mph and can stall it. try 10 or 15mph but remember you have to change the upshift schedule also so the 2 tables don't overlap.

I assume you raised the idle because you installed the UDP?

oh, we were under the assumption that you needed to raise the idle with any aftermarket cam grind. We will try stock idle and see how it works.

You only need to raise the idle for UDPs. And even then you don't really need to, but it sure isn't good for the alternator if you don't.

you will just have to try it. I know on a cold idle the green car would idle fine but on a hot idle it would surge when you first start it and hunt for a min or so before it would settle. I figured it was because the tune was garbage on that car.

Raise the idle.
Your oil pressure will be slightly higher and your alternator will be happier.

I've got some of the issues figured out. The idle now sits at around 820 rpm in Drive; 850 rpm in Park. Got a couple comments already! lol so funny...Just gotta tune the MAF curve now. I have also messed with some of the dashpot settings and have gotten it close enough to at least be happy with it temporarily.

FWIW, My MTX has issues Idleing with +20 Cams. It idles fine on startup...but if you come to a stop to quick ..etc...It will stall. I raised my Idle to 950 and problem solved for the most part and it still sounds awesome at Idle.

I had the same issue with my triflows. I liked the way it sounded at idle, but if I came to a sudden stop from high rpms it wouldnt catch itself.
