Come on guys, throw a fellow Mocha owner a bone here. You see that I posted this toppic earloer, and got a few responses, but would like some more input. You asked for some more input as to what was replaced. New gaskets, rings, rod & main bearings, water pump, and a 60K service. The problem is a steady stream of oil running off the lower rad housing. A bad, or inproperly installed camshaft end seal. Do you guys agree??? shrug What about the oil pump, or a leaking oil galley plug?

Best bet is to clean up the already leaked oil best you can, top off the oil, start the motor and try to pinpoint the leak.

Buy a can of plain old talcum powder and after the engine has set for 10 or 15 minutes, dust the whole area where you have oil spray. The talc will stick to the oil and become dull in appearance, not shiny like oil. Start the engine and run for a few seconds and then shut it off. The oil leak will be shiniest at the leak source. My guess is a pinhole leak in your oil cooler. Good luck.

Make sure the bolt that goes into your block from your water pump is tight, you will loose a SHIT LOAD of oil if not. Learned that when I was 17 thinking I could do an SHO water pump w/o the book. WRONG! I found that out 3 days later. There is not enough room to squeeze a fart under these damn hoods.
