Can a non-Canadian Gen 1 add in DRL then? It's one feature that my Impala has that I've really wanted on my SHO. I like to never have to touch the light switch.
I'll swap my DRL module for the shunt/plug/thing if anyone actually wants to add DRL to their car...
I always thought they were stupid, myself. But to each their own.
This turned out to be the quickest and most effective solution. All works great. no more DRL!No, the stock bulb (in a Gen2) is a 9007 which has high beams and low beams in one unit, so no luck there. As a side note, Gen1's use 9004 bulbs, same shape connector, different bulb pinout & filament orientation.
However, if you really want to totally remove your high beams, you can cut/remove the wire that feeds current to the high beam filament in the bulb. Here's the pinout so you know which wire:
Obviously, you'll want to refer to the bulb on the right (the 9007), and ignore the bulb on the left (the 9004).
Good luck.

I know this is, like, ten years later, but I have a new 95 and went back to this post. I was able to buy the jumper part, new, and after an hour of searching, found the DRL module under the splash guard in the driver side front wheel well. Pop the wire harness out of the module and plug in the jumper plug and, bam, no more DRL.The jumper plug is cheap to buy from Ford, $9.59 is the Canadian retail price. P.N. is FOFZ 14489 A.
cheers
