How much oil in new compressor, dryer?

I'm changing my 91's AC system over to R-134 and was wondering how much of that special oil I should put in the compressor and dryer/filter prior to assembling. Anybody know? Or a good source for the info? The helms doesn't say how much, just two ounces more than what was in the old drier. Thanks.

I'm no HVAC expert by any means, but I have read on this and other forums that when doing a 134a retrofit it is also a good idea to replace the "fixed" orifice valve with a "variable" orifice valve. Even the pros seem to agree that it's a sound practice:

Though Ford doesn’t mention it in their service literature, cooling performance can be improved on R-134a by replacing the original fixed orifice tube with an aftermarket variable orifice valve (VOV) tube. The variable orifice allows better cooling at idle and low speeds by reducing the size of the orifice. This produces subcooling and reduces liquid floodback to the compressor. The result is up to 5- to 12-degree cooler air at idle on R-134a. Source

100 weight. Is that the correct weight?

I can't get the dang small hose disconnected at the firewall quick-disconnect. The elbow hit the exhaust manifold heat shied. Tried taking the heat shield off, no go, the elbow is in the way. Arrrgggghhh! Damn front wheel drive cars!
