Or maybe he just wanted everyone to see he painted his alternator too so he doesn't have a silver sore thumb sticking out in the bay.

Also about paint not looking as good as powder coat, I think my dad will challeneg you on this. He owns an autobody shop, when I paint my intake it'll be done right, with 80grit, 120grit, 240grit, 400grit sand paper. Then an additive that help primer stick to metal. Then 2 or 3 coats of primer. Then 5 coats of paint and 3 layers of clear. And finally buffing with 1200 then 2000grit That'll be on whatever motor goes into the 91, I'll post pics come summertime and we'll see how good powercoating stands up to this shine
