93 ATX, Recently the car has been developing a high idle where if I'm parked itll jump up to 1800/2k even if the car has been driving all day. It hangs there for a minute or so then runs fine. I replaced the iac, and crank sensor earlier this year. It throws a cel but disappears.

they sell old OBD 1 code readers, but the paper clip method is the same thing. I used those code readers without a problem.

I'll have to grab one, is the port under the dash or under the hood?
its under the hood on the passenger side, next to the firewall. there should be a connector cover over it. Look at the link for Sho Phoenix project (my 2nd posting), it shows you where it is. a paperclip is cheaper
