Pull Codes, The flashing OD light indicates that there was a code sent. I also believe that it means that you lost your OD due to the VSS going bad (or less likely, you lost your OD). But sense you just had it rebuilt, take it back and let all **** break loose.

Ryan...I don't know what to say man. Your luck with these tranny shops is really bad. There are 2 tranny shops up here that I would like to refer you to if you wanted to come up. One is Beatty Trans in Troy on Rochester Road north of Big Beaver and the other is the Trans Exchange over by Universal Mall which is the Dequindre and 12 (or 13?) Mile road area. Trans Exchange did my clutch work but I know both owners and they are more than honest places to get an opinion on yours. Just an idea.

Oh man, you just can't seem to get a break with this thing! :(

Normally it would be as simple as a trip back to the shop with an irate look on your face, but with the problems you've had with this shop, I'm not sure that would do you any good at this point...

With regards to the characteristics of the shift kit, you should see relatively the same shifting as without the SK when accelerating 'normally' (i.e. steady, gradual accelerator application), except for a slightly firmer shift on the 2-3. When accelerating hard from a stop, 1-2 and 2-3 will be quite firm, with enough of a slight negative g-force effect to just start your back away from the seat before the shift is complete; but NOT a clunk or a slam into gear. Downshifts at speed should feel just about the same as without the SK.

From your description of the downshift trouble you describe, I suspect a valve body problem. The SK install instructions as pretty idiot proof (there are even pictures), although it's possible they missed a spring or checkball somewhere, or as someone else said, they might have installed the blue #2 accumlator spring instead of using a stock spring. It could also be as simple as them not properly re-torqueing the valve body bolts several times.

You might try taking it back to them yet again, but this time bring a filled-in small claims court complaint with you and demand satisfaction within say 7 days or you'll sue them (and be ready to follow through). I recommend bringing the car to them all warmed up, and make the manager go on a 20-30 minute drive with you to demonstrate the problems.

Man..what terrible service.
I agree with SHOooo. Take it back and DEMAND that they get it right or you will be forced to "examine your options" by seeking legal representation!

They will know what that means!

I forgot that was you with the tranny shop fiasco. Sorry to hear it still hasn't done the job right. There's no telling what has and hasn't been done to that thing by now. I wish I had a good answer for this one.

Ryan, the way you describe it, something is amiss. Both Beatty and Trans Exchange will test drive your car and do some checking on it without charging you for it.

If there is something wrong with the trans, the other shop should have to foot the bill. This is INSANE that you should be going through all this.

Here's a few other contact numbers that you may want to keep handy.

Bizzy is on the right track. If you try to get some remedy from these people you will need some professional opinions about the shifting. Also, you may want to speak to an atty. about legal remedy -maybe a cheap consult to outline what you need to have in line- for small claims or regular court.
