In the midst of a front end 60K.

It appears that while in the proces of removing the damper bolt, I damaged threads in the crank.

Suggestions on how to recover?

Did you damage it removing the bolt or using a harmonic balancer removal tool with the center bolt damaging the threads by pushing them in? If they are toward the outer end maybe you can get a threader type thing to clean them up if there are enough good threads left. Need to find the right thread size/count. I think maybe Hrinson(sp?)-Deaconblue would know.

your options are...retap to factory specs, drill and tap out to next METRIC size bigger, or 3, install a Heli-Coil, but the latter might also be the death of your crank and damper if you arent careful.
