95 SHO had been setting for a couple of months. Tried to start. Cranked but no start. Checked for codes. None. Tried a few more times, finally started. Next day, started right up. Drove about 10 miles, engine quit just like you turned the key off. But then started on it's own while I was coasting to a stop. Drove about 10 more miles, quit again. No start. Checked for codes. No current codes, but 211 and 214 in memory. Changed the ICM, no change. While cranking, tach moves. Any thoughts? Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for the quick response. I suspected the crankshaft sensor. But since the tach was reading during cranking, I thought the crankshaft sensor was working. Also is it common for that sensor to be intermittent?

It slowly fails and eventually won't start, code 211 is the code for a crank sensor. CAM sensor is the one for the tach.

Do you know when the last front 60k was done? Probably a good time to do it and replace the parts as well when you're in there

Need your help. I thought I found the correct crankshaft sensor. I looked at Ebay, Amazon, and Jegs.com. They all showed a Walker 935-91130 as the correct one for a 1995 3.0l SHO. Turns out that it looks correct but it only has 2 wires, whereas the one on my SHO has 5 wires (as is shown in the factory service manual). Any ideas where I can get the correct sensor? Thanks in advance for your help.

SHO Source has the correct sensor.

I have several in my stock pile if you can't find one. I'm in the process of doing a crank sensor on the car that I just bought 3 weeks ago.

Thanks again. I saw your later reply and already acted on it. If I have a problem, I'll be back to you.
