^^^ ha ha ha i know what you mean.... i dont know exactly how but they were fine for the longest time set on different levels till i found this one on complelely hard... either way ksport sent me new ones and they work great now and i havnt had a problem yet...it possibly could have been a faulty strut

Ok First off. This is very awesome that SS is able to get these made for the SHO.

But here a Q that I did not see while skimming the thread.

What would u order if you are have/or planning a Gen 3 Swap on the 89-95 SHO's??
I would love to get in on this but I don't think it will be happening=(

on a side note guys 900 is not bad for these things.... since they retail for ALOT more if you go to the ksport web site and even look up what they are for any other car since they dont make them for SHO's

Well if these work out right then I'll have my GC/Koni combo up for sale soon enough.

Well we need enough orders to make this happen.

Does anybody actually have a set of these on there SHO? I am assuming not! Considering they have not been built for the application as i read it! I am intrested in these, but i am not laying down penny one until i see some long term real would use results on a SHO! $900.00 +shipping + install labor + time = to damn much money to spend on struts that arent going to last and will have to be warrentied fairly quickly! which means more down time and money! I am all for new parts for the SHO but they got to be worth the cash i am spending on them! Crap is Crap i dont care who sells it!

Show me how these things are holding up after a 90 day daily driving period! With proper installation and if after they are working spot on! Then count me in for 2 sets!

No no one has these on their SHO, we don't have any orders. If we get 5 orders we will go though with this, we will pick up the other 5 required.

If everyone one wants to complain about one thing or another then it will be harder to get this going. If everyone wants to wait for everyone then it will **** this and every other group buy. We cant afford to upfront every group buy that comes along. We are going in on half for this to help support you guys as well.

I would think K Sport would know what they are doing after making them for a few cars. You are making it sound like we are building them from scrap.

OK its not that "I" want to wait on this! Its my wallet and common sence that tell me not to buy a product that has not been proven for the application! You would not buy a new type of comdom if it had not been proven not to leak would you?
Ofcourse its going to **** a group buy! No one wants to be in the first group of idiots that buy a crap product(not that i am saying these will be crap i hope they are not! cause i would love a set!)
Why does it have to be a group buy initially? If ShoSource is already fronting half, why not just get one set made, at what ever initial out of pocket cost, install them on some guinee pigs SHO and have them drive around on them for 90 days!
Then after they are proven YAY! or NAY! Then start your group buy or not!
seems more logical to me, I would think if they turn out to be a good proven product they would sell. I really hope they do!
I am not willing to shell out 900.00+ to be a guinee pig!

You gotta pay to play.

You want Gen 1/2 struts.

Do we get to pick our spring rates? Are the damping rates going to be matched to the spring rates? I'd like to see some of the SHO coilover/suspension gurus have some input on these.

Well, nobody is putting a gun to your head and demanding that you buy them. There are others who may have their doubts who aren't as vocal. By being as vocal and overly adamant about your views you are scaring others away from the GB and this thing may never get off the ground.

I can't speak for SHOsource's financial status or situation but most online parts vendors are just regular people who work a 9-5 and do this on the side. It's extra income but it's not a get rich quick type of deal. SHOsouce already admitted that they are fronting 5 sets already. What more do you want?

$900 is a very good deal for full coilovers. Just as condoms are tested and approved before being brought to market, I'm sure that K sport is going to test these out as well. I suspect that they won't be made of cardboard and bubblegum.

If you've owned a SHO long enough and want to modify it, you'll learn that getting unique parts made sometimes includes taking a risk and being one of the first few with the product. You can be a part of bringing something new to the market, or you can step aside and hope that one day you can get the part used. If you're vocal enough about it in the beginning, you can **** the product before its ever made and ruin it for everyone else. Constructive feedback and critical analysis works great but whining never got anyone anywhere.

I saw that. I am interested. This would be a better/cheaper option than the Eibachs and Konis that I was going to purchase and install. Now all I need is four other people...

Well we have already paid out for UDPs, and other items to have on hand so we don't have thousands just lying around to do every group buy. SHOs are not a big money maker.

Now what would you do if it was just 1 person who wanted them made for their car and couldn't afford to buy all 10 sets? Would you say buy all 10, test them then Ill buy it? I don't think so.

We also want to make sure that these will sell and that we wont be stuck with 10 units that people wont buy. By the reactions we have been getting it makes us wonder.

We want to bring out new items and help out the SHO community, but if every item we do brings out criticism it will make it very hard for us to do anything. These are not Mustangs or Honda's so we can't afford to sell everything dirt cheap and have extensive testing. This is already over $500 off what a kit would cost form us. What more do we need to do?

You gotta pay to play.

Yes you can and they will be matched.

For all the skeptics out there -
Worried about this item failing..... what u need to understand is that it doesn't matter as to who comes out with parts for our cars/how long they have been in business or the track record they have, its a fact of life that if its gonna fail then it will fail-could be for any reason( got to have the luck of the Irish) Buying anything for a car is always a gamble.. we all take a blind leap of faith everytime.
just wondering why everyones got a problem with this....

These will be designed for the SHO but they might use another application to get it off the ground. They haven't given me the details on this and wont be able to till they get a SHO. Just like Konis and Quaife.

Use mine. It would be good to use an ATX due to the additional weight.

Are the spring rates going to be setup for a sporty street ride (Im guess this is the one they will design to), a good track setting, or somewhere in between. It would be nice when you are dealing with the company if you could get them to recommend spring rates for different situations. Id rather have the designing engineers recommend a starting point for different situations than shoot in the dark.
