Unleashed had a Black Friday sale so I took advantage of the offer and picked up the X4 for my 2016 SHO - I also got the 3 bar MAP off RockAuto by ordering the one for the heat exchanger which everyone said was the 3 bar. It arrived fairly quickly but I didn't have time to pull the strategy codes etc off the car until yesterday morning. Sent the details to Torrie in the morning

Got home last night and my tunes were already in my email! Very impressed with the turn around. Emailed Torrie to tell him that and he responded back with the file to do the data logging. Very impressive customer service.

Now just need some time to swap to the 3 bar, load the tune, and see what it does. Then figure out how to data log with the X4 - I did a lot of data logging on my 2013 Mustang on the X3, but need to understand the X4 now. We also need a break in the weather. Snowed all night, still snowing now, and the report says 6 - 10" by tomorrow.

Im in the same boat as you I looked outside and yep winter is here... Need to switch back to stock from my LMS tune and plug the X4 in and send Torrie the code. Is there much difference in the X4 to X3 data logging?

Okay, finally had a chance to swap to the 3 bar MAP and load a tune. Took it for a drive and tried a data log. Torrie said the log though only showed an idle - it didn't capture any of the driving data or the run up to 90mph on the highway at WOT.

So what are the steps to data log with the SCT X4? I did it how I used to data log my Mustang with the X3 - plug in to the laptop, then into the port. Load the config file and hit the start. It showed it was communicating and data logging but didn't capture anything.

So much easier to datalog using a laptop.

I had mixed reviews from my laptop... some of the pids had really poor resolution...could have been my rig though...

What difference does the resolution make? It's all about getting the data to Torrie. Not like livelink is graphic intensive anyway.

The resolution of the data being gathered. Not the PC screen resolution. It's supposed to record pids at a rate of .002 seconds but varies depending on how many pids you are recording .. but it's roughly suppose to be about that rate...

From my laptop there were pids where the resolution was much slower at around .3 seconds or worse... mainly the fuel rail pressure and the manifold absolute pressure pids.. and occasionally others...

When recording with just the SCT the data get written to NAND flash so it able to keep up with the data ingest...which I believe is why there tends to be better resolution data...

Never saw that at all and I use an old tough book to datalog. The graphs all show whatever config file i load.
Very odd to hear that about yours.

Yea, I sent some logs to AJPTurbo and that's when it brought it to my attention and asked what I did differently cause the data sucked...

Like I said.. could have been my rig... I tried different cables, ports, etc... short of a rebuild who knows..

Thanks guys. So far no problems. Despite a big incision - basically from the top of the back of my ear to the lobe - haven't been in pain. The nurse said she was surprised since the guy in the next room who had it done after me was complaining about severe pain. Guess I have a better surgeon! I can hear a little bit out of the right ear, but it is pretty much plugged up. Normal for this surgery and will be a week or so before I have my hearing back. Can't wear my hearing aid on that side anyway due to the incision.

I understand your mother-in-law's reaction StealBlueSho. When a major attack hits it takes everything out of you; knocks me down for at least a day.

This endolymphatic sac decompression is the only surgical intervention that will preserve your hearing. I put it off for a long time trying to control things with diet (low salt) and tried the other less invasive techniques as well. Steroids help, but I couldn't handle the side effects of **** steroid treatment. My specialist had me try another steroid treatment, non ****. He said we know it works because I had success, but the side effects of **** steroids says I need to get the steroids where they are needed. That meant - needle through the ear drum into the inner ear and injecting the drugs directly. As bad as that was, if it had worked I wouldl have done it again. I didn't get the side effects from that treatment, but it also didn't give me the relief either.
