a friend who owns a black on black, 93 atx started having some problems a couple weeks ago. i helped him do a 60k about 3 years ago. he said it started going dead while driving, but acted like it was out of gas. it would keep running, and the more he pushed the gas pedal, the more it slowed down and had no power. it kept going dead, but he eventually got it home. i went over last week and took it for a short drive. it seemed to run fine, but it kept having a "surge" like symtom that it would like want to pull forward when you are stopped at a red light, but the engine sounded like it was going to cut off, and then pick back up. the CEL was on, so i pulled the codes out of it. it was full!!! 338, 121, 221, 112,522, 122, 222, just many different codes, etc. seemed like everything was wrong. well i figured that the water pump had went south and was leaking down on the CPS and cooking it. so i took the front covers off, and smart me forgot i had made a way for any coolant leak out of the water pump to be diverted away from the sensor. on top of that the pump was dry and the sensor was dry and looked outstanding. so i couldnt get the timing marks lined up correct, so i thought it may be out of time. took the belt off and have it retimed correctly now, but thought i would get some ideas or opinions from anyone who wanted to chime in and see what others though on it before i button it up. i dont have it back together yet, so i can still access everything. any ideas????
