As it's been some time ive finally got around to calling and making an appointment to get all new window tint done professionally by a shop I've been going to for about 10 years. I went with 5% all around with nothing on the windshield. $350 was what i was quoted due to having old faded tint that was peeling and looked like crap. I am in Michigan so our tint laws are nothing less than 35% on the front sides but any darkness on the rear glass past the B pillars. Cops don't care here tbh and i see cars everyday that are blacked out. I'll post pics from outside & inside the car when i go to pick it up.

Stay tuned.

I don't like 5% because it is so hard for me to see out of at night.
Valid point, as much as i hate to agree it can be difficult. I have a 2015 SHO and its got all the bells and whistles plus backup camera but im also a cautious driver day or night. I just had 5% ceramic tint installed today. Looks good.

I bought mine with 5% on it already. It's great during the day but the worst at night. I also live in the sticks so no street ligths or anything. Have to roll the windows down constantly to see.

Same here but mine was also 5% but old faded and started peeling. I had it removed and new tint installed. Same percentage but ive been so used to dark tint that its like 2nd nature to roll my window down when turning down dark streets. But I agree!

I had 5 percent and a wind shield tint banner. Kept the car cooler, and wasn't that hard to drive. @Zpak lives in the country where light is limited. Is it hard to drive with the tint?

I just have the front done to match the factory back door tint and it's a perfect balance for day and night.

Haha, absolutely! When it’s dark it’s DARK. I 100% have to depend on seeing car lights for cross traffic. A pedestrian? Forget about it.

Having said that, I wouldn’t think of changing it. In fact my previous was the same minus the eyebrow on the windshield. Also, I’ve never been harassed over it, and certainly stopped by more police than I care to mention.

Amen! 5% IMO is the best shade of tint as long you're careful at night! LED reverse lights + backup camera helps too if you're in a dark area without streetlights.

I've thought about doing mine but I have my front dash camera & radar detector mount so i elected not to tint anything on the windshield.

I’m blacked out with 5% on front doors and strip on front and zero in the back. Yes at night u cannot see but roll the window down back out then roll it up, beats driving in Las Vegas summers without it. I have a different car with 10% all the way around and if not parked in shady area the seats will burn your ass up when u try to sit down in it let alone drive it.
