Been leaking coolant for a couple months now, almost immediately after changing water pumps. Finally took the timing covers off and it looks like it is the weep hole. Is there a way to install this improperly that would cause that, or is it just a dead pump?

Probably shouldn't be able to see something shiny through here

Ridiculous. Changed the water pump preventatively because my crankshaft position sensor was failing and this one fails catastrophically in weeks.

If it's leaking out of the weep hole then the internal seal failed. Nothing you could do about that. Hopefully you can warranty it out at least.
