I kinda want to work on a safe E85 tune in stock form just for fun. It would have the hp:torque ratio and the shift pattern of a diesel lol but should still be fun to drive.

AJPTurbo has a full E85 stock tune. I runs just as good as the stock tune, but has very little room for improvement. There is a thread about it on the other forum.

Factory flex-fuel detection is inferred and sensorless and scary AF in my opinion. Essentially the ECU detects the fuel level has gone up, then monitors for changes in fuel trim for such-and-such amount of time and makes an educated guess at what's in the tank. No thank you! For me it'd either have to be manual testing every time I filled up, mounting a dedicated sensor and gauge (not my style), or buying drums of commercial E-85. None of those really appeal to me, so I'll have to get mighty bored before I actually pursue such a thing.
Fuel-It runs as a bluetooth app on your phone and the sensor is inline before the HPFP so most people will never know you have it.

yea IIRC he's running very low boost to keep the fuel demand down

Our E85 tune (currently only tested up to 74% ethanol) runs 16 psi, 24-25 degrees of timing, 0.84 lambda and our custom VCT profile. Currently I'm the only one running it, still a little hesitant to release it commericially since we aren't sure how it will react in the summer and the car runs out of fuel about 55000 rpm in 3rd gear. Even maxing the LPFP it's running 12.2 @ 114 on Dragy with a 1.98 60'. Hoping for a random TNT after Graduation this weekend that I can get some times, but it will likely be spring.

I have finals this week, and then I plan to take some time to install the new DW fuel pump to see if it can extend me out.

I like it Lee. I think with the Xdi-35 and drop LPFP I could run E54 year around with the tune set to ****.

For sure. XDI is releasing their new Ecoboost Injectors this week at PRI, so we should be able to see what they are capable of, though I don't think we'll need them at all until turbo upgrades.

We are going to get to a point (which isnt bad) where we will have the ability to be over fueled which is in direct contrast to where we have been, on the SHO platform that is.

Really? I actually go to that trade show almost every year to see what mts and cad500 are doing with my caddy engine. Its huge but i didnt think there would be stuff for 3.5l ecoboost. Neat ill have to check it out, thats the place you go to see what every company is currently working on. I been going there the past few years and never thought to look for SHO engine parts. Usually im looking at big block and miata engine parts. Ill be there friday and im staying in indy till saturday night so i may stop in saturday also

Yea we are starting to get more traction. I've always wanted to go but with school, work, family and the tuning business we haven't had time. I graduate Saturday so that's going to open a lot of free time for me.

Thats great man! Its a real neat show and every year is so different. My uncle Don who did the work on my sho owns Dons Performance in Harrisburg. He does most of the local race cars, builds engines. Has tuners and dyno machines.Machining to make custom parts, his shop is massive, well he has been going for years and i usually tag along with him. Its nice being in the football stadium too

What's done to your SHO? Not sure I've actually seen a build thread.

Other than those 2 bills i posted for 13k for engine and turbos (edit: oh the turbos have upgraded cartridges in them, billet i think. No clue if they are larger though because the upgraded cartridges went into a new set of oem turbos)
H&R lowering springs
Wilwood rotors, ebc yellow stuff pads
Obx catback, livernois catless downpipe
All the metal intake piping from ecopowerparts, tial bov whenever i put it back on
Ordered DUI coils, livernois gapped plugs.
Mutliple tunes, livernois and ajp
Many stickers and stripes and ceramic coating on rims and body
I had don make me multiport meth in 2014 for my 13’ so i still have the components and the spare intake manifold i bought from ford to have holes drilled in it. Just havent installed it on my 15 yet
Ptu cooler don did for me, not ran from coolant. Oil cooler on new engine same as on pp, and add on oiler cooler just to turbos from a 66 cobra, water to oil cooler with its own coolant tank and small pump. Oh boy cant wait for that to fail lol
Oh and whats a build thread. Something for me to list all what i have done and them get told that i need proof and then i say dag gummit because you guys are gunna make me crawl on the cold shop floor with my camera to get a poor picture? Haha

I just like to hear what's done to everyone's cars, I have nothing to prove and would hope the same for everyone else.

Exactly! I prove things if i want to, not because people bug me to. All i know is i got almost more in the car then i paid for the car. I think i paid 24k$ for it with 30k miles the other year and now im around 20k in parts. But thats just the cost of admission the way i see it

It is cool hear people car's stories. Mine started as a nice daily. Then I liked the damn thing too much, then I modded the damn thing too much (still am), and now she is a decent looking garage queen that doesn't get driven enough. My ST contributes a large role in my limited driving of the SHO.

I bought the ST as daily because the scope creep on the SHO got too immense.

That was how life for me and the SHO started. Came from a series of Mustangs and after having kids and hating car seats I was like "let's just get a nice sporty sedan, oh look a SHO, I can just drive this, it's fun and not mod it." Then decided to take it to the track and ran a 13.5 and Luis said "let's throw a tune on it and see what she does" and that's all she wrote...
