i do have the SLO eibach springs, i have not dropped the strut yet, but i will be soon, the back sits perfect so im hoping that by dropping the strut it will be perfect.

Bob Gervais said:The front strut mounts are not interchangeable between Gen 2 and Gen 3 springs. The Gen 2 springs are a different top coil diameter than the Gen 3 springs, and the spring mounting surface is angled on a Gen 3 mount, whereas the Gen 2 mount is not angled. If you take a look at the picture Paul posted, you'll notice the Gen 3 spring perch is angled, which is why the strut mount is angled, so the spring sits square upon assembly.

naval-avi8or said:FWIW I have a set of GEN III SARC struts (all four corners) in my 94 GEN II and I know for a fact that I swapped the mounting plate and bearing from my GEN II springs to the GEN III set up. It can be done. I was the kid that could make the round peg fit in the square hole.

The thing that I'm worried about is the ABS system. The OBD-II uses the ABS input to determine vehicle speed. I'm not sure how the Gen II brake system is setup - if it even has ABS. I'm going to have to do some head scratching on that.
