v8sho.com suggests the Stewart Warner line for a factory look.
What is the best way to hook up a volts gauge? (I searched here and at v8sho.com) Where exactly is the best place to splice into the instrument panel wire for the bulb?
Also, where is the best place to splice into for the volt reading?

I am also considering a tranny temp gauge. Do you have to tap into the pan fro the sender? :omg: What is the easiest/best way to install a temp. sender for the tranny?

You can pick up the instrument panel lighting at the headlight switch. The brown wire is the parking lamp circuit.

The tranny temp if it is a 1/8" pipe thread for the sender can screw into the EPC port on the top of the tranny under the TB. More than likely though the sender is 1/4". I would tap out the EPC port and install it here.

Volt meter wire can be connected to any hot in run or accessory wire.

I have always been a fan of Autometer's products and have had great success with them in all my cars. Check out the autometer lineup as they have many choices of styles before you buy the Warners.

I too would strongly suggest Autometer rather than Stewart. For my trans temp, it was a 1/4", IIRC, and I did end up doing a tap into the front of the transmission pan. No big deal, if done carefully.

Is the EPC port viewable without having to remove anything?
