i got my rough idle problem figured out...

i cleaned the maf and put the IAM from the 3.2 setup on there and i think my problem might have been plug wires i might have had one backwards..
i still got a slight tapping sound which i think is the cam chain and tentioners so im probley gonna be in the market for a new set. but it could also be a accessory which i need to check tomorrow.

for possible future reference does anyone know where i could get a reasonably priced set of cam chains and tentioners?

No fuel pump noise with ignition on

This is a followup to my earlier post question.

When I check voltage at the IRCM terminal pins, I am getting 12v on 4 of them on the top row (1-12). I think they were 1,2,11,12. I ran a jumper between terminals 1 and 5 and ...........the fuel pump ran fine!

My delima is that I was given an IRCM by a fellow SHO enthusiast and he thought it was a good one off a running car. It had been sitting in storage for a while. It sounds like my fuel pump problem is still in the IRCM. Does amyone know which terminal supplies power specifically to the fuel pump relay? The wiring schematic shows 4 power sources coming in to the IRCM. When the (potentially defective) IRCM is plugged in, I am getting 2.4v at the inertia switch in the trunk. Both the original IRCM and the donor IRCM give me the same value. This obviously is not enough voltage to get the fuel pump going since I was able to run the fuel pump on the 12v jumper. . How could I have coincidentially have gotten another bad IRCM? Thanks for everyones help.

Which IRCM are you using? The MTX or ATX one.

The wire diagrams in the "How Do I" section would have this info.
