just incase....Let me call the Waahhhmbulance. You live where it's cold. You live where your car rusts. You might break a bolt. It's so hard to fix. WTFO? What a bunch of whiners! If its just tooooo hard for you there, MOVE! Cut away on the sheet metal. Like I said, if it's that important to you, it should be important enough to do it right and to do it safely. If you can't do that, then hire a professional. We don't need a bunch of novice hacks doing stupid stuff and blowing themselves up.shoebilly said:Thats easy for a guy from Fort Worth to say. In the northern states it can be below 0. The straps can be too rusty to " just loosen " Nothing goes smoothly on your back when its ZERO. ZERO will turn you in to a "thinking man".

****** is sealed. No fuel vapors or exhaust fumes. Fuel system is sealed, and unless you have a leak, you shouldn't be getting any exhaust fumes there. Nothing half-ass about it, but it is pretty fancy!NotSoSlowSHO said:Or maybe a SEAL to seal out fuel vapors and exhaust fumes from entering the cabin![]()
Pretty fancy way to half-ass it.
Walbro 255lph installed the same time as the fuel door. No problems accessing the locking ring or installing the pump through the access door.TYSHO said:Was that door installed before or after the installation of the new fuel pump?
projectSHO89 said:Specifically, what pump did you order?
I used one of theirs this summer that included the sensder unit (mine was bad) and it fit perfectly. Others have used the pump-only (#2115?) with no problems.

Poisson you mean to tell us you did not disconnect the battery first before pulling fuel lines & electrical harness! You didnot relieve fuel pressure at fuel rail before pulling fuel lines! You were using a hammer & screwdriver pounding on a gastank in the dark! Your lucky to be alive! No wonder their are concerned posts about doing the access door. Please research & use some common sence before doing any work on a car! I'v done at least 6 doors & the 'SHOPhoenixProject' site are pic's of me cutting Beth's door, but I did not do the right-up as info is missing. It can be done much quicker & safely with the right tools. I would just never use any spark emitting cutting method.
