It's not [today]. Boat is moving it back to one of the next two weekends, due to our conflicts, and he's moving to a new place with a garage the last he posted here.

I have some updates.
Depending on what happens this week, I am NOT moving into this place I was previously speaking of. There are just too many compromises I am making to move into this place. Old wooden windows (some have screens, some don't), 10ft ceilings, no AC, no washer/dryer, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, (yeah I know I am picky so don't even say it). Doesn't really have a traditional shower, its a claw foot tub with a metal hoop held together w/duct tape in places, for a shower curtain. This place, FTL.
The windows and high ceilings, tell me high gas bills in the winter. The place is just too "old" looking, I am more used to newer updated places, w/all of the other things listed above in new or in good usable condition.
The garage, is not really a 2 car garage, its about a 1.5 car garage, just about small enough you have to go outside to change your mind, much less not much room to really work on a car.
I also not sure what is happening for me job wise, here in January, as of then I will be out of work again. So, I need to be in a place where I can sign a short lease now, and if I have to, be able to move out of state, if that happens. Don't really want to be tied down to a long lease if I don't have to be, being as how uncertain things are right now. Not sure whats going to happen when I drop this bomb on my landlord come Tuesday, but we will see.
I do want a garage, maybe he has another place in "newer" condition w/a garage. We'll see.
Once I know, then we can set a date and concrete it and see who is available when.

Postponed date...
This tech meet didn't happen due to the fact of my potential for moving, schedule conflicts with people that couldn't come. Which moving didn't happen either. Looking at possible weekend in October, at a friend's place w/a garage.
If anyone that was previously or is newly interested, please post the times and weekends you would be willing to come to a tech meet in October. I still plan on grilling up some good food for those that come and help or just want to hang out.

Any remaining weekend in Sep is good for me. Not sure yet on the first two weekends in October - still too far off.
Also, Monday, Oct 12th is a Federal holiday (Columbus Day).
You might also change the thread title to something like "Fort Wayne tech meet update - please post dates you can attend"

An update:
As I stated before, the date was postponed due to when I thought I was moving and schedule conflicts. Now I am not moving, I am staying where I am.
But I may have a garage coming my way soon. My landlord has made me an offer I am going to accept (today 9-15), provided it is still available. Hoping for an update on this yet today.
So, I do still plan on having the tech meet, it was just a matter of getting some things squared away.
So far I have a list of these people who said they were interested in coming/helping,

ALSO, We (Bubba and I) are getting some hard to find OEM parts through Storm-Chaser. If you want or need anything that is OEM or obsolete, PM me and I will make a list and let Storm-Chaser know later today (9-15-09), then that way you may be able to get some obsolete parts, hard to find parts.

All that said you were interested in coming before, could you reply with a date you can come of the 3 mentioned above, 3rd, 10th, or 17th of October. Or if you can't come thats fine. If there is anyone new, you are welcome to come.

My weekends are generally a first come first served kinda thing... I know Dani's dad want's me to put up some lighting and stuff at their place one of these weekends, Doug wants me to come up to his place sometime, and I still gotta get back out to Matt's and get my other slicer, and junk that SHO.
As of right now, I don't have a damn thing "planned", but you know how that goes..
I still gotta get this trans / rack / strut rod bushing stuff under the hood too....
At any rate.. just set a date, and I'll be there one way or another..
