Well, the SHO is back together and feeling better than it has. :woo-hoo: :woo-hoo:

It was a long hard weekend to get this accomplished and got off to a tough start but ended with a happy ending at 6am Monday morning. We ended up changing the rear main, flywheel, TOB (thanks, redwraith), Teflon bushings in the shifter inside the bell housing that attaches to the shifting fork, newer driverside axle (Thanks, Bizzy), new front strut rod and LCA bushings, SHONUT rear motor mount (thanks, drivinhard), changed the oil and filter, new axle seals, maybe something else, can't remember.
The clutch pedal feels so "light" I almost killed it the first few times I was taking off from a stop. Nice and responsive now, even seems like it idles a little smoother.
Many many thanks goes out to Storm-Chaser, Jayro, Bubba, and SHORacer14 for their time and effort in helping me change some of the things that needed to be done to my SHO. Even with the above mentioned people, this would not have been possible. :thankyou: :thankyou:
Most of all to Keith, for his time, he worked so hard, so very meticulous in making sure things were clean, right, and torqued to the proper spec. He also drove in from St Louis during the night Friday, grabbed a flywheel in St Louis before he left to come up here, dropped it off here in Fort Wayne to get resurfaced and a new ring gear put on it, picked up parts from the Ford Dealer before coming to the meet, without even asking for the money upfront, he just did it, he trusted me, and I did pay him. I have never seen someone work so hard for someone else, and I SO appreciate it, he really didn’t have to do all that he did. I am not sure saying “Thank you” is enough for all that he did to help me get this back together, and working until 6am Monday morning until it was finished so I could go to work and get around. The man knows his stuff. :thankyou:
Thank you again, Keith, Keep an eye on your mailbox.
Thanks goes out to St Louis SHO for providing a flywheel to get reground down, Thanks James for your help. :thankyou:
To Jayro, he provided a salamander, 2 propane tanks for the salamander, some tools, his time and knowledge. Running me out to get a tool, then coming back on Sunday from about 45 minutes away to help more, running out to get another tank of propane. He also helped me put in some new strut rod bushings and a red painted LCA (thanks, Bubba) Thank you, Jeremy. :thankyou:
To Bubba, he helped with taking some of the initial things off the car in the beginning, ypipe, subframe, and he was the comic relief (picking on me for the laughter of it all). bubba ran some errands with his SHO, and allowed me to drive his SHO to go get a few things here and there as we needed it. He came across town to pick me up to take me to where we were working, too. He also is working/worked on painting parts for me to go on my SHO, can’t wait to see what they look like. Thank you, Bubba. :thankyou:
And to last but not least, SHORacer14, he stopped checked by PJToledo’s to see if we could borrow an engine support brace, and checked again before coming, but to no luck Perry wasn’t home. He also took of his time to come for a few hours. Thank you, Jim. :thankyou:
To say “Thank you” just isn’t enough without some action behind it, and then it is just taking advantage of someone else. The best thing we can give without expectation of retribution, is our time, talent, and out of our pool of resources.
