Hey guys I have a 13 SHO PP and my back up camera is disgusting, seriously embarrassed when passengers see it during backing up. It looks foggy as all get out and it's not just dirty externally lol I've wiped it off and everything and it's just super foggy, is there anything I should check, wiring or anything of the sort that could cause this. I'm assuming it's condensation or something that got on the inside of the glass bubble at some point is there an easy way to take it apart and check? Sorry for sounding so dramatic but it's been my biggest complaint with the car since I bought it, thanks in advance!

Known issue, from what I've read. Replacing it might be the only option.

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of, I may try to open it up, just moved to Kansas City and don't have a garage (woohoo apartment life) so it's a little more difficult to work on my car with a thousand other cars packed around me like sardines lol any idea where I could find a replacement part without going to a dealership and being charged an arm and a leg.Known issue, from what I've read. Takes less than 10 min to replace with no special tools. Just a couple push retainers to get the cover down on the trunk and one screw to remove the camera. Plenty of this gen Taurus in the bone yard, give them a call and see how much they want for one. Crystal clear beats foggy any day of the week and there's no reason to have to shell out $300..

Hey I am over in Columbia, Mo and have a hook up at my local ford dealership. Could check out prices and see if it might be more affordable. Mine is the same way so they would be none the wiser. I just deal with mine lol

Could choose to open up the camera, clean the lens, seal it back up. Not that difficult, and it works.

Man that would be great, I love this community, I would just deal with it but with some of the crazy stuff I’ve seen up in KC the past week since I’ve moved here it would make me feel a lot better being able to see clearly lol
