I mentioned this in the "SHO in GB" thread, but I think it deserves it's own mention. The entire story of this drunk/tripping/psychotic college kid is too bizarre to detail (climbing a tree, jumping off of a roof, etc.), but it ended up with him going in the shared garage for my apartment house, putting his fist through my neighbor's car window, and then bleeding all over the front of my car while the cops apprehended him. Major props to the Ford service tech who gets to clean my car tomorrow

The guy involved was a local college senior, no prior record of any kind. He now can add charges of criminal damage to property, criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing to his fresh-from-college resume...

And, to verify that this dude was plum loco, there were two crowbar jacks laying RIGHT NEXT TO THE CAR. Would have saved himself a trip to the ER, at least.

Even the police report described his behavior as "bizarre." On the other hand, that's probably the most action these small-town cops have seen in a while :woo-hoo:

Thanks, I knew it wasn't a crowbar but had no idea what it actually was called.

The police report also suggests that he was drinking. Some of his friends came over later after they found him at the ER, and the police told them what happened, to take pictures of the damage to send to the guy's mom in Illinois. To quote his friend: "he just snapped, man!"

And they were really worried about finding the guy's cell phone...

Nah, just psychotic and/or on a bad trip. (Allegedly...)

There's more to the story - a pizza place downtown was doing a "customer appreciation" night, $4 pizzas, live band, people everywhere and cars parked up and down the street with a constant stream of people back and forth. Before he got to the roof-jumping part of his evening, he tried to steal a computer (maybe a register) from the pizza place but got chased down. After that came the roof climbing, city-truck-vandalizing, breaking-and-entering, and car-window-smashing, followed by resisting arrest and ending with trips to the ER and jail.
