Engine swap 2013 into 2010 SHO please tell me is this is possible

I have a 2010 the I bought a replacement engine out of a 2013. I was told it would work with the swap of a position sensor. My mechanic just pulled my old engine out and said it won't because it doesn't have coolant lines in the oil pan. I called Livermore and was informed that it is possible but it would cost me 1700 in lines , fittings and hoses. Can anyone help?

Cant swap the oil pan? I put a PI style engine in my 15 non pp. Needed some parts from the old engine like rear valve cover and other things. A real mechanic will make it work no problem

Talk to @Wsho he knows alot about swapping engines and the differences between the 10-12 and 13+ engines.

Lol.. Thanks Nova for the confidence but I'm just in the dark with all that. I know that a 2010 to 2012 are not the same engine well I should say not the same timing chain setup. But in my research and the past 6 months somebody did swap out of 2013 and put it into a 2010 with I believe 3 to 4 modifications to make it work. It's on the Forum just got to do the search.

I believe those coolant lines that are coming out of the oil pan goes to the PTU cooling system which 2010-2012 does not have the PTU cooling system. Just swap out your oil pan should work.

To specify , the 2010 engine I am replacing has cooler lines on the oil pan the replacement 2013 does not. This is the problem. Who do I identify the new engine? It is supposed to be out of a 2013 sho

Maybe he got his engine from the same place you were getting yours and they gave him the wrong information.

Lol.. yeah I would believe that the first place send me 2 wrong engines then the next company sent me 2 wrong engines so I had a total of 4 wrong engines in a period of 5 months. So if somebody was replacing an engine I could see them having the same trouble I had trying to get an engine.
But Nova I don't understand why he has Cooling hoses coming out of his 2010 oil pan?

Exactly. At no time has there ever been cooling hoses on the oil pans of Ecoboost engines. This is very baffling. And then Livernois says they'll provide the hoses for $1700???? 1) That's a ridiculously outrageous price for cooling hoses. 2) There have never been cooling hoses on an Ecoboost oil pan but a "tuner" is saying they can provide them. Something is smelling damn fishing.

the only 'hose' line going to the pan on a 2012 or older was the oil return line from the turbo-charger on one side of the block. The other side had the return line going into the bottom rear of the block. The 2013 may have this line going into the lower center of the block. Either way, the old pan should be swapped on to the new engine.
This was eight years ago and I have senior moments....
