Mans,Hello everyone!
I had to overhaul the engine, natural wear of the liners, plus there was a scratch on one connecting rod journal. I won't describe all the details, a question about the oil pump, I checked it according to the book, it was within the tolerance for clearances, there were of course scuffs, I sanded them with Scotch Brite.
There is no possibility to buy another oil pump, and it is impossible to find new ones, I don't see the point in buying used ones. How can I increase the working pressure of the oil pump? Will putting a washer under the spring of the pressure reducing valve help? It's still hard for me to imagine the logic behind the pump's operation.
I took the liners from Toyota.
