Okay, just ran my codes after a disapointing dyno run this morning...

21tpp5

21tpvq

I ran codes and found some fun stuff:

KOEO

111 - Systems pass

157 - MAF circuit below minimum voltage
{now what?}

211 - PIP circuit fault
{huh?}

528 - System shows voltage at pin 10 (is A/C on ?) or pin 30 (PNP, CPP switch)
{ignore?}

542 - Fuel pump secondary circuit failure
{car stalled? Replace fuel pump?}

KOER

116 - Engine Coolant (ECT) sensor out of range
{engine not fully warm?}

SEFI (Cylinder Balance Test)

9

I am completely stock.

As you can see, I am running pretty lean.

Please help! :help:

please?

What should I do? This computer is much more complicated than the computers I have used in the past.

From what I see, I need a new fuel pump, a PRO-M MAF, a TwEECer, and some big injectors.

Any thoughts? ;)

If your engine wasn't warm it should have run rich.

I would start by cleaning your MAF, and checking Fuel Pressure.

Maybe a new 155 lph fuel pump.

But I am not even close to an expert on these things.

Try the web site in my signature for additional information on the EEC tests. The 211 code is a problem - that points to the profile ignition pickup, otherwise known as the crankshaft position sensor (CPS or CKP). That sensor is essential for operation of the engine. The MAF signal will not be affected by cleaning the filaments. That code is due to an electrical problem such as a faulty sensor element or a discontinuity in the wiring harness (even unplugging the sensor with the ignition key ON).

Okay, so should I drive it for awhile and recheck the codes to make sure it isn't just a one time problem? Also, is the CPS a PITA to replace?

Acording to shoshop.com the stock for MTXs is 112lph.

Anyone know if moving up in fuel pump output would require a computer modding?

If you are running lean it suggests a fuel issue.

MAF, Pump, Injectors, etc...

If the MAF was unplugged/disconnected it would run really rich. If the MAF is dirty I belive it will run lean.

155 lph is the largest pump you can buy without upgrading the stock Fuel Pressure Regulator.

You might also want to clean & balance your injectors. I know your car doesn't have a lot a milage, but that just means it did a lot of sitting early in life that can lead to fuel degradation.

voulme not pressure, the extra fuel will just run through the return line and go back to your tank... no it won't

Okay, so should I drive it for awhile and recheck the codes to make sure it isn't just a one time problem?

have you ever punched numbers into a calculator and it gave you the wrong answer once and a while... no you havent (hopefully) if it throws a code then something is wrong.

personaly I would start with the "116 - Engine Coolant (ECT) sensor out of range
{engine not fully warm?}
" because it is the easiest.

The MAF may be dirty, what's best to clean it? Brake cleaner?

I'll get a fuel pump next loan I close. ;)

Where/How do I get the injectors cleaned and balanced?

You confused me on this one... what do you mean "no it won't"?

I think that one was just because my motor wasn't fully warm. I'll run them again....

Okay, I ran the full codes test again (after clearing them the last time) and found the following (this time I made sure the engine was hot):

528 - System shows voltage at pin 10 (is A/C on ?) or pin 30 (PNP, CPP switch)

Since this one seems to be something to ignore...

I guess I need to get a 155lph fuel pump, a PRO-M MAF, a TwEECer, Big Butterflies, extrude honed runners, CAI, y-pipe, 2.5" custom exhaust, cams, the zex kit, and then re-dyno the car.

:biggrin:

DO NOT clean the MAF with carb cleaner. Get a electical contact cleaner in a spray bottle and do not touch/break the filaments (obviously). Your injectors will need to be taken to a specialty shop. A shop that deals with diesels a lot would be able to point you in the right direction. Also you might want to consider getting a used set to have worked over so your car isn't sitting.
