These things, if used in a car that is exposed to summer heat out doors will bubble up and cause the needles to get stuck.

They look cool when new, but not worth it IMHO. Now I get to go take them back off.

Also the light is too bright if it's not wired into the dash lights to adjust the brightness.

I have the same thing happening to mine. The reverse glows. I'm chaulking it up to "you get what you pay for". Time to order something that's quality. Any feed back on Speedhut's?

Haven't heard.

Mine were about 13 bucks shipped, so yes you are correct about getting what you pay for. I finally took them off today. Will probably use them in our electric car class as compact lights inside the shell.

Funny, I can third this with my SLO. I bought mine from "ProCarParts" on ebay (and .com), which by far has the worst customer service and products, ever. I thought I was the only one that had the bubble problem, so I had to rip mine out. They look great, but they won't work right! >:|

I've had mine for a few years, and have noticed the bubbling as well. It's not too bad on mine though; haven't hindered the needles any.

Hey, they were like, 15 dollars, so I won't complain. The included dimmer works fine for me as well.

OK I have to agree with Paul... Mine did the same thing BUT I think it's the difference between the GEN3's from the GEN2's. the ones in my ex's 95 have never bubbled or had any kind of problems, but he called me while he was driving the 98 and told me he had to pull the gauges because is the bubbling. I can't say I've heard to many people complain about the GEN2' white faced gauges. I guess when I get more I'll spend alittle extra and get the nice one's from SHOBro's.

Another thing they don't really tell you is the el cheapo ones are only blue backlit. The more expensive ones are green/blue and have a dimmer.

That would have been nice. And if you would like a pic I could, if I get new camera batteries. Just imagine using packing tape and getting a wrinkle in it. Basically what it is like.

My temp gauge too was stuck at the normal 24mph mark even in the 0 degree days.

I may peel the outer layer off so I can reinstall them and hook them up to the dimmer switch.

Dantheman where did you find that pic? I swear I posted it here a while back but can not find the thread? Hahahahaha

I got Ebay ones and it sticks down from time to time and if WOT doesn't fix it I just tap the cover and it jumps up to where it should be.

My cheap Ebay ones glow in both green and blue, and have a dimmer. Maybe they've stopped selling those since then.
