I have a 93 SHO, first thing in the morning the heater/AC fan would blow at full speed. Pressing the off button on the EATC did not shut the system down, and you cannot control the fan speed. It will change which vents the air blows out of.

It has the soft button EATC with broken buttons so I bought a hard button version on ebay. And still, the first thing after the car has sat for a period of time the EATC will not shut down and the fan runs at full speed.

There must be another module or part of the control system that I am missing.

Any clues appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like the blower controller module. Search for it on the forum; I've had to replace mine recently. It controls the blower motor via variable ground and a power transistor. It's alternatively referred to as the BCM or blower speed control module.

SV&** Dan will have some for you. Post a thread in the wanted section for a BCM or PM him directly

<edit>

I would also look into WHY it failed. If it's covered with a bunch of crusty white stuff or is soaked with antifreeze I can see a new heatercore in your future. Mine failed when the heatercore started leaking and dripped water down onto the electronics

Mine failed for no discernible reason other than that the power transistor went into avalanche... there was nothing other than rust on it. But it sure smelled bad! Ozone ftl!
