Well it's summer in CA and I'd like to let the breeze in since my AC isn't fixed and right on cue the SHO decided to act up. It started out being intermittent and has become a bit more permanent it would seem. It usually works alright in the morning, but once it sits in the sun and warms up the motor won't go down easily. It will start to go and then stops after a split second so it takes many a press to get it to go. giving it a helping hand doesn't make a difference. Maybe the assembly needs some grease?

I replaced the one touch power down module and placed another switch set on it and both failed to fix the issue. At this stage I'm thinking it's either the window motor or the wiring. it goes up with no issues but down is when it likes to cause trouble. Thoughts?

Check for +/-12V at the motor when you push the switch up/down. If you see it, the motor needs replacing or rebuilding. Odds are good the motor will need re-greasing as the brushes rarely wear out on them (they're huge), but there is a chance that something has gone wrong in the window track. See if it's rusted up, and try spraying some silicone **** at it and see if that helps.

I think it's an issue with the track. I've found that I can fix it like the fonz when it gets stuck. I was trying to roll it down tonight with the door open. I still had the button pushed and when the door closed the window proceeded to roll down as normal. I then had to verify the fix by rolling it back up. Then when it acted up I kept the switch pressed and hit the inside of the door with my fist toward the rear by b pillar. It worked a few times after so it wasn't a fluke.

AYYYYYYY!!!
