so ive been trying to find what is causing my loss of power, ive changed just about every sensor, plugs and wires are 2 months old etc, anyway i pulled my wires off to make sure i didnt have a seperated plug wire or something, when i noticed that all of my wires were conducting along the sides of the boots. all the way up to the bottom of the plug well seal, now you cant see it but it was definately arching off my fingers when i held them. is this normal? am i just tripping??? like i said they all did it.they are bosch wires so theyre not expensive or anything. but they are two months old.

have you pulled any codes yet???

That would have been the first thing to do, instead of just replacing things....

Have you changed O2's?
have you changed the ECT?
Have you cleaned the MAF?
Have you checked Fuel pressure?
Have you changed the fuel filter?

well this is just a guess but if its unplugged from the head then that spark has no where to go so its going to jump to its best possible ground, & I'm assuming that the plug boot doesn't have as much insulation as the actuall wire portion has. If you have it plugged onto the spark plug the heads going to make a better path to ground & its going to operate properly. I don't think you findings have really proved anything.

okay fuel filter has been changed,o2 sensors both changed, maf cleaned , coil pack changed, ect has not been changed.replaced fuel filter, new eec, heres the wierd thing anytime i reset the computer it runs great for about three days and then starts to run like crap, gas pedal seems a lot harder to press to get to go. i did do a self test and keep getting a code 538, to some that is a failure to do a proper goose test, another is a cid circuit failure. i only get a code for it when i do the self test. no other codes are ever thrown. im wondering could it be my cam sensor even though i dont get a code? gas milage is absolutely terrible.
